Thank you to everybody who gave their support and well wishes during the Olympic Games. They all gave me a great boost and made me proud to be an Australian.

I’m now back living on the Gold Coast training for the surf season ahead with my surf club Kurrawa. I’m now looking forward to getting fit again and setting new goals for the next 4 years.

About Ky Hurst - in brief

Ky is one of the most diverse watermen Australia has produced. He was raised on the East Coast beaches of Queensland and Central Coast of New South Wales giving him his love for the ocean and imprinting his fun loving, down to earth love for life.

Ky was born into a family of champions and began competing at the tender age of eight. His determination to excel at his chosen sports, combined with considerable genetic potential (his grandfather, mother, brother and great uncle all hold National and World titles), have allowed Ky to become one of Australia’s top sportsmen at a relatively young age.
